Peter: The Human Cyborg documents Dr Peter Scott-Morgan’s battle against motor neurone disease (MND), a progressive and terminal neurological condition that causes loss of muscle control, paralysis and locked-in syndrome (full awareness, but an inability to speak). Most people with MND die from respiratory failure within 3-5 years. Peter’s plan is to save his life by embracing machines.

Eyegaze or eye tracking technology allows a user to control their computer, mobile or tablet device just by moving their eyes. This can be life changing for people who have limited or no function in their arms or legs, or even with full body paralysis, such as locked-in syndrome.
